Cafe favs The Noisettes recently stopped by Isle Of Wight for an amazing performance of there latest single “Never Forget You.” Once again they prove why there one of the best bands around, Shingai and her brilliant vocal ability is top notch in this video. “Wild Young Hearts” is in stores now.

Miike Snow are producers, Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson, and Pontus Winnberg. Named after an acquaintance with an “i” added for extra flair, Miike Snow recently signed with Downtown records. Burial just might be my favorite video of the year. They clearly got their inspiration from the best movie of last year, Slumdog Millionaire. For an added bonus we included their other video, Animal, after the jump.
Kayla returns with a video for her second single “Daydreaming.” This is a follow up to her first effort “Do You Mind” which still is a fixture in the London house scene. While the video comes off as an add for the longest Old Navy commercial ever, the track alone is definitely worth the view. We can only imagine how much this will heat up the dance floors as the hot months continue.

Hotly tipped and Mercury Prize nominees The Invisible are becoming quite possibly one of the most exciting new bands this year. If Tv On The Radio’s “Golden Age” set high marks in 08, then expect “London Girl” to continue with the same formula. A warm soulful treat and definitely one of the better singles to break through in 09.

Everyone’s favorite Brit at the moment, Little Boots, has released a video for the single Remedy, from her solid debut album, Hands. Not a fan of the video, but good song.
The Clientele have returned with the opening single “I Wonder Who We Are” from there upcoming album “Bonfires On the Heath” releasing in October. Looks like the band has gone for a more upbeat jazzier sound this time around. A mellow tune that puts us in the greatest of moods. Summers midway-point just got a bit more enjoyable.

Artist watch damsel MPHO recently released a video for the infectious tune “Box N Locks.” Honestly, Brixton’s latest pop talent grabbed our attention a few weeks back through a tip from a friend of ours. We’re expecting a huge buzz by years end and if her intro video was not enough, maybe the oddly used sample of Martha and the Muffins should solidify. London has added another definitive entry into the music scene and yes folks! MPHO has landed.
A few months ago I wrote a mini rant in our retro section (here) for the return of a raunchy and daring (creatively) Robin Thicke. Well, I’m guessing my prayers have been answered with his latest track, Dirty It Up. It even features an F-bomb for good measure. Thicke is working with Jeffery Bahsker and the producers, Surf Club for his forthcoming album, due this fall.

Dead Prez have released a video for ‘Summertime’ from there recent album “”with Dj Green Lantern. Good to see a beautiful piece of work (directed by Tao Ruspoli) with a positive message, a message that shows quality outweighs quantity any day. This is feel good hip-hop at the very best.
