The XX | Islands [Live on Jools Holland]

// September 30th, 2009 // No Comments » // Video

We labeled this as our favorite track off of The XX, debut self titled album, and I’m guessing they agree. The XX fresh off their tour with Florence and The Machine, stopped by Jools Holland and performed Islands aka The Maroon Cafe’s favorite track off the…..you know the rest.

The Best Late Night Band aka The Roots, have finally released the video for their single How I Got Over.  Which is off their upcoming album with the same name.  Can this be the album Black Thought finally gets his recognition as a MC.  Beyond underrated in my book.

WTWTA ALL IS LOVE ECOVER 2 Karen O and The Kids | All Is Love and Rumpus

I just came back from the gym a little while ago and saw a trailer for, Where The Wild Things Are.  Which reminded me that I have a couple of tunes from the soundtrack in my inbox.  Karen O music has a child like innocence on the few tracks I’ve heard.  Which is obviously the point.

Where The Wild Things Are Soundtrack is in stores now!.

Here’s there recent video for one of the more upbeat tracks on the album “Fader,” Conditions is in stores now.

Quadron Quadron| Horse

Quadron is a duo featuring Denmark’s Robin Hannibal and Coco who you may remember from our very underrated Boom Clap Bachelors, who we featured late last year. There side project self  titled album is mixture of melodic mood music with just the right amount of soul to top it off. Here’s “Horse” a beautiful tune from the debut that further validates why this genre continues to spread globally.

We’re speechless…and not in a good way.  Can anyone explain to us the idea behind this video?  We’ve played it four times in a row, hoping that we could come up with some kind of logic behind the video.  Maybe you guys can do better then us.  Check the video out and let us know what you think the meaning behind it is.

outasight Outasight | Catch Me If You Can

We love the versatility of Outasight and his flow on this track, but 6th Sense production is what draws us in.  Catch Me If You Can, is off of Outasight’s slightly delayed album Brand New Day Session.

Being ahead of my time, kinda pays slow
