Corinne Bailey Rae has been taking a break from the music scene since the tragic loss of her husband last year, her new album “The Sea” is already being helmed as a masterpiece of incredible work. Here’s a brief look into the process of the upcoming sophomore effort which will see daylight on February 2, 2010.

The XX have faced some personal issues over the past couple of months and 2009’s biggest breakout band still has found time (through a brutal tour schedule) to announce and push out another single. “Vcr” is the fourth release from the self titled debut followed by a b-side to a new track “Insects.” Still following the dark melodic tunes they’re known for, the now threesome continues to have us in awe at there r&b inspired sound.

Well as another year is coming to an end and our hopes for a full length from our favorite West Coasters J*Davey have been slightly diminished. Granted we’ve only been salivating yearly since 2006 when we were introduced to Miss Jack Davey and Brook Daleau. There latest leak “Outta The Window” from the upcoming Ep “Boudoir Synema – The Great Mistapes” displays what we hope to anticipate more of in 2010…….. A release date for Designer New Drug, until then a free download of the Ep will be available on Christmas day.

We’re starting to believe that 2010 may be a huge resurfacing year for a few faces who’ve been hiding out of the spotlight. Kelis has returned with her new single “Acapella” which was produced by French Dj David Guetta. Although this is an extremely new direction she’s gone, we’re sure this tune will grow and definitely be rocking dance floors all through the weekend and beyond. Jamie Cullum has once again proved why he’s one of the most talented artist of today, now we just wish more of his marketing was done here in the states. Cullum puts his own Jazzy spin on Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop The Music” in a way so dope and so original, it would be hard to not appreciate his attempt. Visuals are above and album “The Pursuit” is available now digitally but won’t hit the U.S. until early next year.
Sahra Motalebi returns with a visual for the dark tune ‘Migrators,” from the Ep “Tender Mortal Means.” Taking artistry to another level, Motalebi manages to perfectly hybrid song and video together quite well. We may need to add her recent stints at The Saturday Sessions to our to do list.

We gave you news about this a few months back and now we have confirmation. Sade will release “Soldier Of Love” on February 8, 2010. The new year has already started out on a high note.
Where has Shaun Boothe been? We check his Youtube page bi-weekly to see if he has thrown up a new Unauthorized Biography. While we’ve been waiting for that, Boothe has been busy working on his upcoming Hop Hop in 3D Project. Earlier this week Boothe released a teaser video for his Bohemian Rhapsody sampled, Poor Boy.
