Muse Muse | Undisclosed Desires

Muse‘s latest album, The Resistance is on my shortlist for album of the year.  Influences from range from David Bowie, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Erasure, The Manic Street Preachers, The Petshop Boys, Erasure, ABBA, Queen, Blondie, Depeche Mode to Beethoven.  A track that has been getting heavy rotation spins in the Cafe and on Radio 1 as of late is Undisclosed Desires.

sahra Sahra Motalebi| Migrators

Sahra Motalebi has resurfaced (literally) on our radar and in timely fashion. She first caught our attention with the dark and haunting “Secrets,” which still spins in our rotation from time to time. Motalebi once again gives us a blissful tune “Migrators” from her latest “Tender Mortal Means.” There’s enough mysteriousness going on in this almost five minute track to conjure up quite a few spirits, if that’s your thing.

John Forté Live @ Joes Pub NYC

// November 19th, 2009 // No Comments » // Video

Earlier this month John Forté headed to Joe’s Pub in NYC and put on a very intimate performance for his fans.  The above video tracks his journey to Joes Pub and shows a bit of his performance.  Forté has always been a musician who I thought was extremely talented and underrated.  Hopefully this time around he gets the ‘mainstream’ recognition I think he deserves.
