Major Lazer x La Roux | Lazerproof [Free Mixtape]

Why the lack of posts the past few days, It’s because The Maroon Cafe is on the road this week. Our interns and other employees seem to be lacking on our posts, so I’m going to link you up with something to listen to during Memorial Day Weekend. Major Lazer and La Roux have hooked

Vampire Weekend| ‘Holiday’ [Video]

Vampire Weekend releases visuals from there latest single “Holiday.” “Contra” there sophomoric effort is in stores now.

Jovi Rockwell | Keep It Real [Video]

Singer Jovi Rockwell, has released visuals for her track “Keep It Real.” You guys might remember her from the Major Lazer album, Guns Fon’t Kill People… Lazers Do. You might also this classic beat as the Bucktown sample.

Introducing Leah Mason

Rarely do we introduce an artists without any audio (in fact never) to back up our posts, but in this case we’ll make an exception. Meet Leah Mason apparently we know only so much, she’s from London, her myspace has very little info and she’s a mixture of Folk,Blues,Rock (as via facebook.) All we do

The Black Keys | Tighten Up [Live on Letterman]

The Black Keys stopped by Letterman to perform their single, Tighten Up. Awesome live performance. Their latest CD, Brothers is in stores now, and we highly recommend it.

Mark Ronson | Bang Bang Bang feat Q-Tip [Audio]

Couldn’t resist throwing this picture up. Mark Ronson recruits the services of Q-Tip for his track Bang Bang Bang for Ronson’s upcoming album, which is due this September. We are huge fans of Ronson’s last two albums, and obviously getting a head of ourselves, we are sure the third one will be just as good.

Gil Scott-Heron | New York is Killing Me f Mos Def [Audio]

Looks like another New Yorker is throwing their vocals on Gil Scott Heron‘s track New York is Killing Me. First up was Nas, this time around it’s Mos Def. Who knows, Nas and Mos Def might pop up when Gil Scott is playing Summerstage. Gil Scott-Heron – New York is Killing Me

Francis & the Lights| ‘For Days’ [Audio]

Francis and the Lights have somehow slipped past our radar and are just a few hits away from completely satisfying our 80′s Blue Eyed Soul void. Already on an opening spot with Aubrey Graham…. you know the dude that they call Drake, so apparently it’s not only us that realize these Wesleyan University former attendees

Lissie Ft. Ellie Goulding| ‘Everywhere I Go’ [Video]

Excuse us for the Lissie push we’ve got going on over here but this just had to get some sort of recognition. Lissie and Imogen Heaps little sister Ellie Goulding recently teamed up on stage for an unexpected collab effort of “Everywhere I Go.” Apparently the world is catching on faster than what we expected,

Donnis | Yup [Audio]

Hollywood Q has pegged Donnis as the next and upcoming rapper to blow up, and I kinda agree with him. Fool’s Gold familia, Donnis, has a busy day coming up next month. On June 22, the Atlanta Brave will simultaneously release his major label debut, The Fashionably Late EP, and a Clinton Sparks assisted mixtape

Grouplove | Gold Coast [Audio]

New York LA based band, Grouplove, formally known as Group, have recently released their debut EP which has made it’s way to the Cafe. Our favorite track off their 5 track EP is Gold Coast. Head over to their myspace page or official site to find out more about up and coming band. If you
