Jesse Kivel just might be the busiest dude in 2010, despite his current stint with L.A. based foursome Princeton (check below) he’s found time to form another tandem, this time with someone special. Kivel and girlfriend Zinzi Edmunson who’s also a fashion blogger, are part of a new duo called Kisses. The two are dream pop to say the least and if “Bermuda” is any indication of what’s to come from there full length, they could be on the verge of some Sonny & Cher comparisons. Our 2010 Summer soundtrack just received another entry.

An extremely well done cover of our second favorite track off of Temper Trap’s debut album, Conditions has arrived in our inbox this morning. Fader is covered by the production group The Knocks, and it features vocals from up and coming NYC artist Samuel (above pic). MGMT have released there first single “Flash Delirium” from the highly anticipated sophomoric album “Congratulations.” We’re still trying to decipher what’s going on with this track and while we may be a little miffed, the new sound may grow on us.  Lp to hit stores on April 13th.

What do we know about Psychobuildings? it would be very cliche and corny for me to insert a joke about buildings actually going berserk so I’ll save you and myself the trouble. However Psychobuildings is from Brooklyn and apparently is reviving my Talking Heads fetish. Have a listen to “Paradise” which is a b side off the “7 inch single. Track is full of David Byrne-esque vocals, David Byrne-esque vocals & more David Byrne-esque vocals. Turn this up, all the way up!

Although Scottish group Django Django have more than two members, their core is Dave (programming/percussion) and Vinnie (vocals/guitar). The duo’s latest work is WOR, sounds like nothing I’ve ever heard before. Which is a good thing. The sheer energy and rhythm of the song is incredible.

Lonelady has released her fascinating debut “Nerve Up” via Warp, as for now we seem to be the only ones around here who’s in the know about the Mancunian artist.   Get a full listen via myspace and purchase an album that’s sure to be talked about as the year continue.
