September is looking like a great month for record releases (Brandon Flowers, Maroon 5, Maximum Balloon, The Roots & John Legend, and Atmosphere to name a few). Another artist dropping an album in September is Mark Ronson. This one picks up where Bang Bang Bang [here] left off.
Ronson’s, Record Collection is out September 28th.

Last night I headed over to Brooklyn Bowl to check out Listening Session of The Roots and John Legend’s album, Wake Up!. After an hour of waiting I decided to make the trek back home. From what I’ve heard from people who stayed, it is a throwback album with a lot of soulful tunes. The amazing amazing (had to say it twice) clip above is The Roots and John Legend’s cover or Bill Wither’s, I Can’t Write Left Handed.

UK house/new wave artist Russ Chimes is someone you need to keep an ear out for. If you grew up with Super Nintendo or Sega in your life, then you will appreciate Chime’s catchy 80′s synth hooks.
