chairlift Artist On The Rise :: Chairlift Bruises

Chairlift is a electronic pop group. Aaron Pfenning (songwriting/electronics/guitar), Caroline Polachek (songwriting/synthesizer), and Patrick Wimberly (drums/keyboard/production). The Band orginated in Boulder Colorado and later relocated to Brooklyn New York, they’re also our daily fix for today. Fresh off a Ipod Nano commercialthat is on every 5 minutes we’re sure you’ve heard this interesting trio before.

Bruises is the guilty pleasure of the moment and might as well be of the year, it’s one of those tunes that makes you feel good all over (yes I just wrote that) with a heavy crop of groups coming out the N.Y.C. as of present time, Chairlift really brings there own sound and are the Black Sheep of the bunch.

With Carolines soaring vocals over one of the catchiest beats of recent memory, it makes us wonder if there paying homage to the Cures very very very similar version of “Come Close To Me” or just forgot and had a great time making this tune? either way this is a winning formula from a three individuals who will have much more to offer next go around.
