Dan Black :: Creatively Covers A Hip Hop Classic

Could this very well be the year for covers? over the past months an abundance (some good some ghastly awful) have been flooding the internets at a rapid pace. There are some tunes that we consider untouchable and uncoverable, and Biggies Hypnotize is one of them!!! so after word was sent to us about Dan Black putting his spin on the Hip Hop classic, we had to research further. After an emergency meeting here in the cafe for all staff to listen (interns included) there was a brief period of silence then an agreement was reached. Add the “Umbrella” sample, and brill usage of the 80′s flick “Starman” theme, Mr Black has succeeded in making this tune work. Could quite well be the best of this year (cover of course).
