Daniel Merriweather continues to put his stamp on covers. We’re starting to believe that if he was to put out a separate album full of Cat Powers covers, it could be the best thing we’ve heard in quite sometime. Merriweather stopped by Radio One last week with host Jo Wiley and delivered what may well be the best damn cover our ears and yours, will grace this year. From what we’ve noticed, he seems to have a thing for pop songs and La Roux’s “In For The Kill” was his latest target. A soulful classic rendition that you don’t mind grooving to. A+ performance.
