Diane Birch, the Portland native and current New Yorker is our latest new discovery. Blessed with soulful-stirring vocals very reminiscent of early Motown. Birch apparently has the lineage when it comes to the genre, growing up with a preacher father as a youth in the church, S-Curve Records latest signee has seen her fair share of traveling from South Africa, Zimbabwe and even Australia. Bible Belt, which will be released in May has a line up that includes The Roots’ Adam Blackstone, George Portner, Lenny Kaye & Stanton Moore.
