Introducing The Headless Heroes- “Hey Who Really Cares”
// December 2nd, 2008 // Listening Section

With a name such as Headless Heroes, you would automatically assume it must be some obscure punk band trying to gain recognition from there title. Well such is not the case, and although a band they are, we’re pretty sure there will be no guitar smashing or lude acts on stage. Headless Heroes are combined of Hugo Nicolson, Josh Klinghoffer, Woodrow Jackson III, Gus Seyffert, Leo Abrahams, Joey Waronker, Dirty Pretty Strings, Pocketknife, Mike G., Irana Douer, Sarah Lynn Graves, & Eddie Bezalel.
A list like that makes you wonder if there was enough studio room? one name we did forget to mention, and also the bonus treat of this lovely dish is our favorite folk gal, Alela Diane. According to there bio, the reason for creating the folk group was for music sake, to be accepted and enjoyed on its own terms, without being an overindulgent or boastful statement. For those of you who are trying to obtain what was just wrote, a group of musicians who wanted to make a great record. Here is “Who Really Cares” an extremely stunning cover of the Linda Perhacs classic, off of the newly released (which will be on the playlist of many in the new year) “The Silence Of Love” which is in stores now.
