Lex Land continues to impress us here at the cafe! after releasing a very impressive debut late last year with “Orange Days On Lemon Street” Los Angels best kept secret has conjured up a worthy cover. Now anyone would tell you that Elliot Smiths music is in a class all by itself and rarely should be touched. When first receiving word of her taking on the classic Smith track, “Miss Misery,” our side-eye action was once again in full bloom. After a few listens Land somehow manages to make it work! dark eerie vocals gives this a surreal sound. Intimacy at its very best.
