Electrelane was a four piece set from Brighton England and formed in 1998. The ladies went on to become one of the most intriguing girl bands ever, there music which is very reminiscent of The Slits, ranged from post punk to alternative rock. While some fans will admit that the group had strong feminist views and even raised a few eyebrows with there protest song “The Partisan” Verity, Emma, Mia & Ros who called it quits in 2007, are still and will always be a quality foursome, that never received the accolades they so well deserved. Here’s one of my favorite tunes “On Parade” from there Power Out album released back in 2001.
