The Slits are a UK punk rock band that formed in 1976 by members of the bands The Flowers of Romance and The Castrators. Members of the original ladies of punk were Ari Up (Arianna Forster) and Palmolive (Paloma Romera, who later left to join The Raincoats), with Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollitt.

One of the founders of the punk movement these gals had it all from style, attitude and even a kick a– drummer.  Many bands have tried to follow but none came close, listen to a B-side from there first single which many can relate to them becoming a punk rocker in the early 80′s the classic cover of Marvin Gayes “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” Slits style.
