Another day, another band. Today we introduce guys to Canadian band The Besnard Lakes. They are from Montreal, Quebec and are formed by the husband and wife team of Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas. Their sound [at least on this track and the few we heard] is extremely retro, but yet still feels fresh. Check out their track, And This Is What We Call Progress below, which is off their forthcoming album, The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night LP.

    Dude they sound like the Blue Oyster Cult with a touch of Thirteenth Floor Elevators….hence the word retro. And this isn’t a review of the track or band, merely an intro. Thanks for stopping by!

    I can’t wait until this band are given high acclaim and you suddenly have to start arse licking in your reviews. As for being extremely retro, I think you need to explain that comment. To my ears this music is far ahead of most rock music out at the moment. Goodbye. Shit review by the way.
