As today marks an end of a year, we’d like to share some Albums that kept us moving here around the office. Over the past twelve months, our lives have changed drastically and we thank you the readers for making us a part of your daily routine. From the free music, to the new artists your ipod or sound systems are currently entertaining, we’ve had an unforgettable time in 2010. We’re expanding massively, stay tuned in 2011. We’ll see you in the new year.

The Black Keys – Brothers – This isn’t the typical Black Keys album we are used to. Working on that Blakroc project gave way to a different approach for them. Brothers is bluesy with more ballads then we are accustom to. And for some strange reason, this is the best work to date.

Gil Scott-Heron – I’m New Here – This album is the perfect album to turn on in your car and just ride around. So many hidden gems and top notch production, this album might have the most replay value compared to every other album on this list.
The Roots – How I Got Over – Loads of awesome Hip Hop albums came out this year, from Eminem, Rick Ross, Big Boi, to Kanye West, but from top to bottom, we feel this is the most complete Hip Hop album to drop this year.

Cee-Lo Green – LadyKiller- It’s been a great year for soulful sounds, and leading the forefront is Aloe Blacc and Cee-Lo. It’s a throwback album, but yet it feels so current and relevant. Honestly, is there anything Cee-Lo can’t do?

KiD CuDi – Man On The Moon II – This one took a few weeks to grow on us. We weren’t use to this side of CuDi. Where was the CuDi Zone or Pursuit of Happiness? Well, those tracks were replaced by a slower sounding CuDi who seems to be going through some depression. The amazing part is, you can feel his pain as a listener. That alone, sold me on this album.

Andreya Triana – Lost Where I Belong - Probably one of the most overlooked albums of this past year, Ms. Triana, does exactly what you expect an Soul artist from UK to do. Turn out great tunes. An amazing debut album. Wish there was at least three more tracks on this one though.

Surfer Blood- Astro Coast- Although poorly timed, this debut album was a fun listen. Had this been released properly during the Summer months this may have made our top three.

Tame Impala- Innerspeaker- The Beatles and Cream decided to mash up an album together in the 21st Century and call it Innerspeaker. These Aussies put out one defining debut, one of our most played efforts this year.

Laura Marling- I Speak Because I Can- Lovely Laura once again proved why she’s one of our generations great songwriters. An enjoyable listen from start to finish. “Rambling Man” is nothing short of stellar work.

Lonelady- Nerve Up- Like we said before, Lonelady needs a WIDER audience, not much promotion but truly one of the greater Lp’s put out this year.

Big K.R.I.T.- K.R.I.T. Wuz Here- Self produced, self marketed whether you classify this as a mixtape or album, it was THEE most slept on Lp this year. Years from now we’ll look back and realize how gem of an Lp this really was.

Mumford and Sons- Sigh No More- Hard to not put this classic debut at our tops list. Mercury prize & Grammy nominated, did we see this coming? Yep, the best band out right now an album which will stand out when we look back on 2010.
