The XX have announced a split with former band member Bariai Quresh. Last month Quresh failed to attend a few shows due to exhaustion from a rigorous tour schedule. As of yesterday, The XX are now down to three and will continue on as a trio. Singer Oliver Sim quoted “We’re a three-piece now. We’ve been in a band with Bariai since we were 16 and known her since we were 12,” “It’s just been a case of, I suppose, growing apart? It’s a big jump from 13-years-old to 20. I think we’ve just grown into different people and I don’t believe touring was for her, really. Not sure where this situation will lead them in the future but not to worry, for all who purchased tickets to see them live, the band will continue there 25,267 upcoming tour dates.
