Everyone who works at the Cafe and a lot of people I know donated to the Summit on the Summit project. Being able to see the journey that these guys went through will have us tuning into MTV on March 14th and so should you. If you don’t know the story, Kenna and company climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for water born illness and diseases.

Early today I was going to post this as one song, but when I realize the entire album is available, I thought why not give you guys a heads up. An all star cast of musicians (Linkin Park, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Alanis Morissette, Slash, The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Kenna, Enrique Iglesias and Lupe Fiasco) have gotten together to send aid to Haiti. Producer RJD2’s album, The Colossus drops next week Tuesday [January 19th], and RJD2 has been kind enough to stream the entire album off of MySpace. From our first initial listen the vibe on this CD is laid back and chill music. You got a splash of pop and electronica, but definitely not the hip-hop sound he is (was) known for.

Say what you want about MTV and it’s 2 millions channels, but I remember when MTV 2 was a young pup in MTV’s marketing scheme. There was a lot of new and unheard music on MTV 2 that I still listen to today. One artist MTV 2 introduced me to was Kenna. The crazy thing is watching this video I forgot that Fred Durst (former frontman of Limp Bizkit…yuck) brought him into the game. Speaking of things that I forgot, what happened to Ian Robinson?
