Some unreleased KiD CuDi for you guys on this Saturday afternoon. According to 2dopeboyz, this track was released in 2008 and known as ‘The Message.’ Either way, it’s still new to us, and sounds like a track that could have made the album.

This is probably our first non-music related post. Being that most of the staff is twenty-somethings, based out of NY, and have more then one side hustle, we decided to post this video. Plus Editor-In-Chief, Hollywood Q, doesn’t have HBO anymore.

Barbara seems to be a folk band based out in L.A. and has been on the radar of recent sites over the past week. Apparently they appreciate Kid Cudi as an artist. Although I’m not the biggest advocate for the Ohio native, “The Pursuit Of Happiness” is quite the success track we soley could use in these rough times. Barbara has layed down an acoustic version of the song and here’s what they had to say about the format.
The attached song is a cover of Kid CuDi’s Pursuit of Happiness, which began as a joke after a long night of drinking, and will be your first introduction to Barbara. We are planning to leak a couple tracks from our forthcoming EP.
P.S. We usually don’t use samples, but you’ll notice a clear Iron & Wine sample and the faint humming of the legendary Sam Cooke.

As the decade ends today and we take a look back on ‘09, this will go down as “The Year Everything Changed.” To sum our twelve months up into one word we’ll go with “Growth,” it’s been a hard time (extremely) trying to balance personal life and business around here but somehow we managed to have a pretty successful year. While I lost a few things that were close to me, one thing that kept my mental intact (barely) was music. Here’s our top albums that kept us going strong.
Metric- Fantasies- Resurgance in true Canadian form! Emily and crew not only held down our top songs through mid-year, they managed to stick it out to the end.
Mumford & Sons- Sigh No More- We’ve been on board when they were unknowns and playing shows in the smallest of places. Our Fresh Faces put out an amazing debut and kept the folk genre steady.
La Roux- La Roux- Say what you want but this is one fine Pop album! from start to finish we guarantee you’ll agree after it’s all said and done.
Grammy nominated, KiD CuDi made an appearance on Conan O’Brien last night, and performed Pursuit Of Happiness. It’s been a rough few weeks for Cudi, from being kicked off the Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour and most recently being detained by the LAPD, seems like this kid can’t catch a break.
