An extremely well done cover of our second favorite track off of Temper Trap’s debut album, Conditions has arrived in our inbox this morning. Fader is covered by the production group The Knocks, and it features vocals from up and coming NYC artist Samuel (above pic). Producer RJD2’s album, The Colossus drops next week Tuesday [January 19th], and RJD2 has been kind enough to stream the entire album off of MySpace. From our first initial listen the vibe on this CD is laid back and chill music. You got a splash of pop and electronica, but definitely not the hip-hop sound he is (was) known for.

Everyone’s favorite Brit at the moment, Little Boots, has released a video for the single Remedy, from her solid debut album, Hands.  Not a fan of the video, but good song.

After seeing countless home videos, some good, some bad, for MGMT’s Kids, it’s about time we get to see an official version.  Granted it took 8 months for this, but seeing the kid in the video getting scared is worth it for me (damn…I sound like an evil person).  I guarantee those are real tears from that boy.  All in all, MGMT, swear no kids were harmed during the filming of this video.  That kid reminds me of myself the first time I saw the video for Michael Jackson’s, Thriller.

Fresh off their MTV performance (which I didn’t catch), Kings Of Leon have released the third single, Notion, from the album, Only By The Night.  By the timing of their MTV performance and the looks of this video, they are trying to get the their America behind them.  Can you blame them?

Little Boots [MySpace]

The video for Melanie Fiona’s, Give It To Me, premiered last week on myspace.  If you’ve been listening to the press Melanie is the next big thing in R&B.  From what I’ve heard so far, I can’t argue.  The video should generate more buzz for her (sadly) pushed back album, The Bridge, which is due this summer.

You read right folks, Cee-Lo actually appears in a video he is co-featured in (Sorry Estelle).  Looks like the promotion train for Asher keeps going.  You have to respect this kid’s grind.  From making music on myspace, to having his video world premiere on MTV.  His debut album, Asleep In The Bread Aisle, landed at number 3 on the billboard charts last week.   Word around the cafe, is that it’s a solid album.
