Yesterday we posted a snippet of I Blame Coco’s track for Caesar, from her forthcoming debut. Seems like she and Island are wasting any time setting the bar for what is sure to be a monstrous year for Stings offspring. We’ve waited patiently for this and a welcomed introduction indeed indeed. The video which features Robyn, has an apocalyptic feel and was directed Hope & Audikana. The single will be officially released on January 25th via download. Marina and the Diamonds returns with her latest single and video “Hollywood Infected Your Brain” which was directed by King Buzza of Katie Perry fame. Apparently after a brief stint in the states that included spending time in L.A and New York, the Welsh diva came up with the concept for one of the more original tunes to date. She endures her love for the states with clever lines such as “I’m obsessed with the mess that’s America” and our favorite “Oh my god, you look just like Shakira/ No no, you’re Catherine Zeta / Actually, my name’s Marina.” We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Marina will be a force in 2010.  This has mass appeal written all over it.  “Family Jewels” will be in stores on February 15th.

Electric Wire Hustle| Perception [Video]

Electric Wire Hustle, the soulful three piece out of New Zealand, has been in our rotation since our first discovery a little over a week ago. They’ve released a video for the track “Perception” off of there extremely solid self titled debut. This tune screams repeat after each and every listen. Expect to hear more from these guys in the next coming months.

I recently got a chance to listen to there solid album “Conditions” which still continues to be played daily and the Aussie quartet are quickly becoming one of the most talked about bands this year. Here’s there recent video for one of the more upbeat tracks on the album “Fader,” Conditions is in stores now.

Looks like a release is really about to happen! then again, we’ve been screaming saying the same thing for the past two years.

Florence and the Machine returns with a new video “Drumming Song” from her exceptional debut “Lungs,” which continues to get better and better after each listen. Florence Welch once again proves why all the hype (courtesy of BBC) & her Mercury Prize nomination was no fluke. We’re not sure about the choreography but this is a pretty intense song that’s quickly becoming our favorite from the album. Look out for the single releasing on September 13th.

Golden Silvers continue to raise our interest meter here at the cafe. There second single “Arrows of Eros” is a lovable tune with a sick bassline. We’re expecting there buzz to continue as the months grow. This is nothing short of dance music at the very best, catchy, creative and definitely fitting for the rest of the Summer months.
