How about a remix of a remix to start your day off? What was originally Jack Penate’s track, Pull My Heart Away, has been remixed by Jamie Smith of the XX and now Theophilus London hops on the track. The last time I remember something like this happening, was when Lykke Li’s Little Bit got remix by Drake, and then Mickey Factz hop on the track [here]. It’s a formula that seems to be working.

Over the Christmas break I went through some tunes we had laying around and found this gem. Bassnectar has taken The Pixies most popular song, Where is My Mind, and given it new life. Chances are you heard of The Pixies but if you haven’t you might recognize this track from my favorite movie of all time, Fight Club. Great song and an even just the amount of energy we need to start this week off right.

This is honestly the last time your going to hear about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, track, Zero on this site.  The reason why we’ve (or should I say I) been so intrigued with it lately is because the much hyped and blogged about, Animal Collective signed up to remix this.  Now that it’s out, it’s a shame I like the snippet from last week more then this.

Why write two seperate post when I could write one.  The Yeah Yeah Yeahs stopped by the Jools Holland show to perform their latest single, Zero.  They are schedule to perform on SNL this weekend.  Before I go any further, who ever is in charge of booking artist for SNL this year has done a superb job.   But I digress,  we also have snippit of the Animal Collective, Zero remix.  Just when I thought I couldn’t like the song anymore.  30 seconds of bliss awaits here.
