It’s that time of the year when everyone drops their top or best of lists, so keeping in the the tradition, I (London D) has decided to drop my top videos of 2009. From short story videos (Cinnamon Chasers) , inspirational (Will Smith) and just plain creative [aka low budget], we cover all the bases. Bat For Lashes – Daniel – I love her, love her new album, and love this video. Nuff Said
Coldplay – Life In Technicolor II – Low Budget video that is really creative
MGMT – Kids – What’s there not to like about this video. Scared little kids + MGMT = best of both worlds.
Noah And The Whale – Love of An Orchestra – This guy is my hero. His energy is perfect for this video. It makes me realize don’t let the kid in you die.
Theophilus London – Enjoy The Sun – I guess this is what Volcano Choir tried to do with their video [here], the difference is this video makes sense and and has something to do with the title.
Miike Snow – Black And Blue
KiD CuDi – Pursuit of Happiness – Great Message and Visually a dope video. I’m on the Pursuit of Happiness!!
Cinnamon Chasers – Luv Deluxe – Never heard of Cinnamon Chasers before, and haven’t heard from them in a while, but this video visually is an entertaining story.
The Foreign Exchange feat. Muhsinah – House Of Cards – City of Angles inspired video. Very powerful video.
Will Smith – Words of Wisdom. I spotted this at thecouchsessions [great site] and this video has changed my life. It has nothing to do with music, but Will Smith is (was?) a musician. This video is one of the most inspirational things I have seen in my life.
