Mercy Arms | Half Right [Video]

Published on May 13th, 2009

Mercy Arms is an rock band from Sydney, Australia. They formed in early 2005, the four-piece is composed of Thom Moore (lead vocals, guitar), Kirin J. Callinan (guitar), Ash Moss (bass guitar) and Julian Sudek (drums, percussion).  As they were coming up as a group they toured in Australia with The Strokes and record with Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio.  A big accomplishment for a new band.

We got our hands on their self-titled debut album, which came out in August 2008.  It’s some of the best music we’ve heard in a while.  Sadly, it might be the last time we hear from Mercy Arms.  Word has it they broke up in February of this year, due to creative differences.  A bit of good news is that they have side projects which include ‘Fashion Launchers Rocket Launchers‘ and ‘Kirin J. Callinan‘.  If you are able to get your hand on this album, you won’t be disappointed.   If not, enjoy the video above!
