One of our favorite cuts off Kendrick Lamar’s stellar debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, is “Backseat Freestyle.” Lamar description on the song is as follows “Backseat Freestyle is being in the mind state of being 16 years old, and not having no cares in the world. Not giving a damn about nothing, but life and money and what you see in front of you. It’s not me talking now, it’s me talking then.” Rumor has it this song was recorded within two takes. Speaking of two takes, that’s what you will do when you see Sherane in the video.
